Trails
The study area of as a surface 12 km2. To walk through the dense and hilly jungle, a network of 30 km of trails have been created, this allow us to reach any point of the study area within 3 hours.
The trail system has been mapped and is visible directly in our GPS. It is also marked every 25 m, allowing us to find our way easily. In this wild environment, it takes us lots of work to maintain these trails, due to the fast growing plants and to the frequent tree falls, but it is an important task that helps us to work efficiently and safely.
